Matters Specified submitted to Angus Council

Updated: Jun 28, 2022

Seagreen have now submitted details to Angus Council Planning Department with the aim of discharging the Matters Specified on the Planning Permission in Principle for the onshore cable route and the works at the Tealing substation.

The team have been working closely with Angus Council, Carnoustie Golf Club and other key stakeholders to refine the details on the conditions of consent and are pleased with the progress made to date. The application includes the detail for the proposed plans along the cable route from landfall at Carnoustie to the new substation at Tealing where we are pleased to confirm there is a significant reduction in substation building size from the original application submitted in 2012.

We have welcomed the opportunity to meet with many of the local Community Councils recently and enjoyed supporting and attending the Angus and Fife Agricultural Shows. We look forward to continuing with this local engagement and hope to build strong relationships as we progress with the project.

Currently, we are still focused on the Contracts for Difference (CfD) Auction and hope to be able to provide more information on this in due course as we work our way through the bid process.
