CONSULTATION FOR AIRSPACE CHANGE PROPOSAL

Updated: Jun 28, 2022

Seagreen Wind Energy Limited (SWEL) launched a consultation on the 4th Sep 2019 for an Airspace Change Proposal. To view the full document please click here.

We intend to develop an offshore wind farm in the North Sea. Wind turbines can interfere with air traffic control radar. In order to mitigate against this, the proposed solution involves blanking of Primary Surveillance Radar and the introduction of an airspace structure known as a Transponder Mandatory Zone (TMZ) over the windfarm area, to ensure that aircraft are visible via Secondary Surveillance Radar.

The link below provides greater detail around the proposal, including its size and specific location. Please could you review this document and respond to the consultation by clicking here.

Even if you think this proposal won’t affect you, this is useful to us in itself, so please indicate as such on the response form.
