Proposed electrical transmission infrastructure at Land between Mean Low Water Mark at Carnoustie Beach and Tealing Substation, Tealing, Angus
Seagreen Wind Energy Ltd (Seagreen), a joint venture between SSE Renewables Developments (UK) Ltd and Fluor Ltd, has submitted a Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) for electrical transmission infrastructure comprising 19km of underground electricity transmission cables between Carnoustie and Tealing, a new substation/convertor station adjacent to the existing electricity substation at Tealing, along with access and ancillary works.
The proposed onshore works, which are required to connect the Seagreen Alpha and Seagreen Bravo offshore wind farms to the national electricity transmission network (grid), have already been approved by existing permissions granted by Angus Council which are due to expire in December 2016.
To allow local residents to view the details of the proposals and provide feedback on our plans before the submission of an application for Planning Permission in Principle to Angus Council, two public consultation events will be held on the following dates:
Wednesday 11th May 2016 3pm-7pm Carnoustie Leisure Centre, DD7 7JB
Thursday 12th May 2016 3pm-7pm Tealing Hall, Inveraldie, DD4 0QW
Copies of the exhibition boards and blank comments forms will be placed on the Seagreen project website for public download after the events. Please send any comment forms back to us at the address below by 19th May 2016.
Please note that comments made at this stage are not representations to Angus Council and there will be an opportunity to make representations to Angus Council once a planning application has been submitted.
