Seagreen took part in an event organised by Angus College in Arbroath aimed at increasing awareness of companies in the area working within engineering and construction environments and attracting new students to the college’s courses.
The event took place on Thursday 31st March 2011 with this years theme being renewables and sustainability.
The afternoon exhibition was well attended with the majority of attendees being younger members of the community and many of them were looking for advice on potential opportunities in the offshore wind industry.
We hope that we met some of the future engineers and construction staff who could work on our project in the years to come.
We were delighted to be able to support the college in its aims to strengthen links with the renewable energy industry and to continue to providing courses offering a pathway into the industry.
We also attended an evening event with the Tayside Construction Forum and Angus Engineering Forum. Our presentation on the challenges facing our project provoked some lively discussion on a number of topics relating to the offshore wind and wider renewables industry.
